2002 |
| A
very good Kung Fu film based upon real Chinese history. This
is visually a very colourful film. It's not up to the same standard
as Crouching Tiger but still very good. The scenes with vast
numbers of arrows flying through the air are amusing.
Imdb score = 8.2 and is
currently number 119 in Imdb's top 250 films of all time.

2004 |
| This
film follows Che Guevara, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and his
best friend on their trip around South America in the 1950's on a
motorcycle. This is a great film which covers encounters with
all sorts of different people, with great scenery. It shows
how Che
Guevara started to think about communism by experiencing
injustices. By the end of the film you feel like quitting your
job, going traveling around the world on a motorbike.
Imdb score = 8.1

2002 |
| A
very good war film about how 400 elite American soldiers survived an
attack by 2000 Vietnamese soldiers near the start of the American
Vietnam war. This is obviously very pro the USA, showing one
of the few battles the Americans won but still enjoyable. It
shows how effective artillery, helicopter gun ships and bombers can
be against Vietnamese infantry and what a waste of life the Vietnam
war was.
Imdb score = 7.2
