This is John Woo's best film.  This is a Hong Kong film, made in Cantonese.  It stars the world famous Chow Yun-Fat as an "good" assassin, an assassin with a conscience.  Essentially this film is about friendship but features some the most amazing gun battles on film.  The person who hires Chow Yun-Fat decided to have him killed rather than pay him and ends up sending literally hundreds of men to kill him.  He also befriends the cop trying to catch him.

Currently number 217 in Imdb's top 250 films of all time

 Imdb score = 8.0.
